Test and Trace App for Businesses

In line with yesterday’s Test and Trace App launch the NHS is encouraging businesses and organisations to display official NHS QR code posters at their venue entrances to help support contact tracing.
NHS COVID-19 app users will then be able to scan (check-in) as they enter a venue. This means that if people visit the venue and later test positive for coronavirus, other app users who were there at the same time may be sent an alert, if local public health teams think this is necessary.
The app notification will not mention the name of your venue, it will just let app users know that they may have come into contact with coronavirus and provide them with public health advice.
The NHS guide on how to produce a poster for your business can be found here. Using QR codes will help businesses meet the new legal requirement to record the contact details of customers, visitors and staff on their premises. With coronavirus cases rising in the UK in the last few weeks it is essential businesses capitalise on the benefits QR codes can bring to protect themselves, their customers and their staff.
