Fatal injury statistics - good news for workers

We have put together a short summary for the numbers of fatal injuries in the workplace for 2014/15 and as you can see from the graph below at last Health & Safety is starting to have a good impact on the number of fatal injuries in the workplaces with numbers going down year on year since 2011 and on a general downward trend over the past 20 years.

There have been 142 deaths in the workplace in 2014/15 and this is 9% lower than the average for the past five years (156).

Of course these are 142 deaths too many, but numbers are falling thanks to more and more employers realising the importance of good Health & Safety at work.
